(sorry for the Big images)
Well I was at a gun show today with Sean (Father_livonia) at the Detroit fairgrounds, and I spotted a few things that grabbed my attention.
If you have talked to me recently, you know that I got a pair of KWC 1911 national Matchs. Well I grew out of the Stock grips before the guns even arived, so I have been looking at wood grips to swap with the original ones. I was going to order from Cheaper than dirt, but I decided I would Pick some up today, when I wen't ot the show.
I did, but I will also show you the other things I got.
First up:
As you ask yourself....Woah did Matt get a new H&K pistol???
Answer: No, I picked up this pistol case today...for $10 Bucks. Nice buy if I do say so myself
But whats inside...
Hallelujah! Those ugly ass stock grips are gone, and this beauty is now sporting some custom Walnut grips...$20 for these, but we had to Pilot out the screw holes to make them fit. There not as snug as I though they would be, so I'm going to get some longer screws to help hold them in.
Here is some more 1911 goodness
close up of the grips ^^
Next thing I got were some Dummy (M-65?) Lemon Grenades that I use for Scenario play, but mostly for show.
I really love my grips now, It just makes the gun look awsome.
My friends dad is a Manager in the engeniring department for GM and I talked him into making me a Custom Metal Slide and Frame with...get this...H&K laser engraved Logos, and all I have to pay is the cost for parts which will only be like $30, I take it all he needs to do that with is a C&C machine.
I think I'm also going to have someone engrave and paint the Red H&K logo on my Wood grips to. I know that H&K dosn't make any 1911s, but I love them both, and I'd like to have a hybrid, that no one else has.
It would also match my case! ;D
Tell me what you think
