I owned one of those top drum mags that you have. I never once had loading problems and was pretty impressed with that system on it. 2 problems I did have. Rust. That thing will rust like mad. So either always wipe it down, or do what i did, and paint it flat black with some acrylic or whatever you like. Second, The neck on the drum mag is attached by 2 worthless alen screws. I recommend that you reinforce that part of the mag with a L bracket or anything you can come up with. If you don't and let it get worse like I did. The drum will swing back and forth, and will not load if it is, not at the proper angle. Quick comment though: Support gun with a stick battery. How's that working out for ya? If you remove the cocking mechanism you can fit a 9.6 mini in there. The M4QD 5.56mm, really bugs me and I recommend you paint that over and maybe put on some new marking, if you care for realism. Good choice on the low mount though. I hated my claw mount. Thanks for the advice, ICE. I'll take it all into consideration. I didn't really aim to use the pdw to fill the support role. I just wanted to offset my star mags. I don't really mind the markings on the silencer. I too like the low profile mount. My iron sights got in the way of my red dot though. that's why I need to find some different rings.

Dude, that thing looks absolutely amazing! I have some disagreeing stuff with it, but I know I would love for my PDW to look like that! I love TOP 1000rnd Drum Mags. A teammate of mine had one a long time ago, it was the size of my Mp5k almost. That thing was like a BB house with it. My teammate didn't keep good care of it and broke it amazingly quick. He sold it off to an old (and now I think ex-Airsofter) Mike (Of MCW I want to say). He hosted OP: Keeping Faith. Great guy. Keep good care of that Drum magazine man! I hope it serves you well (by the way, how do you like your STAR mags? I like mine. )

Thanks Epsun and Andrew.
I'm definitely going to take good care of that magazine. I'm probably going to reinforce it like ICE said to. Love my starmags. Sometimes I feel like going for realism. I always have my star mags in my vest pouches when I have my PDW on the field, even if I'm using my drum mag. Wouldn't trade my star mags for anything.

Update: Just got back from the gun shop. I picked up my new Bushnell Sportsman 1x23 1" tube red dot sight. I had to get new rings because my iron sights got in the way of the dot. I now have some see-through rings that allow me to use my red dot as well as my iron sights. The employee at the gun shop was very open-minded towards airsoft and there was a customer who was anxious to hold my pdw and was very disappointed that I had no bbs or battery Heath (the gunshop employee) mounted the red dot and boresighted it in (it seemed a little redundent to me at the time) but when i got home I was amazed at how accurate the sight was. Absolutely perfect. I was kinda fretful that the sight would ruin the look of the gun but I really like it. It looks different to me, no doubt, but I don't think it looks bad. Here are the pics:

That gun is HOT. How much did you pay for the red dot?

Just realized that I double posted before, sorry The red dot was 60 bucks and the rings were 20. As if I needed an excuse to go to the gunshop I kinda just realized the irony in my pdw. I got it as a lightweight alternative to my hefty sg1. But what's the first thing I do? Throw a drum mag and red dot on it that make it heavier and a silencer that makes it longer.

Well overall its still a lot lighter than your SG-1, (I get mine tomarow!). I've heard they're just completly huge, which is why its great to have another AEG like an MP5 to switch to when your sick of lugging such a huge gun around.

Question... Isnt the scope mount supposed to go backwards? like, the longer end faces the back fo the gun, the scope seems to ... forward... but I love the overall look of the gun. And I want your drum mag as well..

Thanks for your concern, Swat and Andrew. When I left my sg1 with james at 21ca for an upgradem I asked him to put on a mount for me. When he gave it back, it was on the same way as seen on my pdw. I never really thought about doing it any other way I suppose I could to get the red dot closer to my eye but I'm perfectly comfortable the way it is.

i think it looks unique and different with a "backwards" scope mount. it loks really great, even better than without the scope.
