Could be mistaken but isn't that a RAS?
I was under the impression that a RIS had a front attachment point to the barrel whereas a RAS was a free floating design? I could be incorrect and if I am I would be interested in knowing the difference:)

Forgot to add that it is a really nice looking gun:) I got stuck on wondering about the RIS/RAS and forgot to compliment:) Anyways great looking, hopefully sooner or later I will get a chance to see it in person.

nice gun...sweet paintjob too. Those pictures with the black background look really professional, kind of like the ones of some custom guns on Redwolf.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the positive opinions! Great to know that the people who I hold in the highest regard could be impressed by my work. You know Luke, I've wondered that same thing myself. From what I know, I've decided that RAS and RIS are the same thing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but one stands for Rail Accesory System, and the other stands for Rail Interface System? It may be one of those deals where there is more than one name for the same thing to avoid trademark name conflicts? Even the SIR (made by Arms) is pretty much the same thing by a different name- Selective Integrated Rail system. Or how about the new acronym, MWS- Modular Weapon System (made by Knight's). Hey Mike, funny you should mention that. I was cruising their pictures for inspiration before I did my photo setup. Anybody else happen to notice some of the funny things/blunders in some of their pictures? A G36C all decked out with swat gear and a....um, paintball mask? On another interesting note they have a picture of a KJ Works Elite IA. I don't know exactly what that is in real steel, but it looks a lot like a Beretta to me. What's funny is there's a bright red and black HK patch prominently displayed under the gun. Does HK make a gun that looks anything like that? Guess it's possible, but it's news to me.

I think you are correct in that it's just a naming convention, in browsing WGC club today I noticed some RAS that weren't free floating there goes that theory:) Was just trying to figure out why they are named differently though it doesn't matter either:)
Very nice gun though, I'm going to have to post some of some of my newer guns as soon as time permits:)
