Its a nice start, the shell ejection on the super 9 is sweet, but i relly dont like the gun for combat... even without the shells

OK, the new pics are up, and yes, the M-16 VN ROCKS. It's not too heavy, looks pretty sweet, and is incredibly accurate. A good buy, although its not advisable to buy it if you're just in it for the flash hider... community.webshots.com/album/92133941tDdolX

I cant remeber but iherd the VN model was really bad, But i LOVE the gun intself, i dont know about the airsoft version. I was told to just the the M16A1 and get a diff flash hider/mag if i really wanted it. But i cant remeber if the foregrips are different on the VN/A1

No, there's no difference in the foregrip. And yeah, the Real version of the VN had a lot of problems, the M14 rifle was a lot better.

The M-14 was better except for fully automatic fire, amazing inaccurate. IMO also looked better, glad you like your VN though

the M16, as issued in 1965, was a wonderful weapon...when clean.
the military fucked up on several things:
1) did not issue a cleaning kit as the rifle was touted as being 'self cleaning' 2) used ball propellent powder as opposed to the recommended type (to save money) a) this caused more fouling, and more jamming as a result. b) This also caused a rise in the rate of fire of the M16. leading to a faster pace than it was designed for...more wear and tear as a result. 3) lack of a forward assist on early models. you cannot move the bolt shut without it in a dirty rifle.
after cleaning kits were issued, and the propellant issues were worked out, the M16 became a very dependable and reliable rifle.
This has been another Bigmack informative session...

I think Bigmack forgot that they didnt plate the chamber in chrome like it was supposed to be, cuz they wanted to save money. The was changed in the M16A1 model.
Although correct me if im wrong Bigmack
