Yes, you're right Derick, it would be cool to have a united Michigan team. However, interest in this event seems to be limited to a small group of highly motivated Michiganders (referring to those of us who have posted that we're going). I guess if we need to find more people to swell the ranks we should look at finding some surrogate Ohioans to fill in (like my wife's cousin who's never even played, but is geeked about going). Any of you other guys know any Ohio people who'd like to be Michiganders for the day?
*walks away wondering if reverse psychology will work*

It's too bad the arms dealer (That'd be me) is quitting his full time job to go to school, otherwise he'd get loaners for friends. :/

Okay guys, pre-registraiton ends on the 14th (So says the www.valleybranchretreat.net/events.htm page) and my two friends and I are fired up. But there's some info they're asking for that I/we don't have. I think this is information thatw ould be valuable to all of us, so if anyone knows, post here (Don't PM me)!: A) What's our team name for registration? B) What side are we on? C) How many faces will we stomp? ;D Frostee, I'm looking at you on this, but if I don't hear from you the three of us will get set up and then coordinate with you later.

Well well well, looks like we're going to have some michigan guys there anyways. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Iceman and I am one of those "Hoosier flatlanders" that is helping plan the event. The way you guys talk, the rest of us guys had better watch ourselves, or else we'll get litup. anyway, if it helps change some minds into going, I have been talking to some of the guys from Team TANGO in Indiana here and they said that they'll try to get their team down for the event. Hope that changes some minds. Have a nice day.

Well, we should all use the same team name so we don't get split up! We're camping there and maybe we could get adjoining camp spaces or something.

umm, we, the muskegon airsoft netqwork are all paid up and that was our team name, muskegon airsoft network. WEchose the americans simply cause thats the camo we have, i would suggest telling them that the only camo you have is woodland and they shoul make you be on the us team, I am going to try and make a flag for the MAN out of a HUge blue flag i have laying around. I would really like to see everyone there and playing together. It would even be cool to practice as a team or something before. Yeah we are campind friday thrpough sunday. I hope to have a few guns in the arsenal by then too. my ca mp5, gas1911, tm sr16, and a glock 18c. I am plannning on buying those THIS WEEK. Cmon i wanna see you all there, if you havent signed up yet, register under our name if you want and you can be on our team for sure, we already have 4 guys all paid and ready to go. later sincerely yours, derick

Cool derick, I'll give it a few more days and then register under your team name. Between the three of us, we've got an SR-16, an MP5K SD, an M24, a TM Tac Master (Hopefully a second will be here before the event) and a Glock 26. We feel pretty ready. ;D
Thanks for the offer bro, I really appreciate it.

I signed up (my cousin too) and we did not use a team name or specify which side we were going to be on, but I can call Gary back and let him know. So, it sounds like the majority of us want to be on the US side, eh? OK. If you could get the flag idea going it would be beneficial, because we could all meet under the banner when we get there and "form up". Iceman, great to hear from you. Are you part of the VBR staff? Have you played at the field before and if so can you give us any info about it? Again, it is good to hear from you and I'm sure we all look forward to working with you, or shooting at you, depending on which team you're on.

To answer some questions, No, I am not part of VBR, I am basically the guy that came, saw, and got really excited. If you want a basic feel for the fields, take some of your Michigan Hills, add lots trees, and make changes in elevation of 100 feet in less that 50 feet of area. Basically the site has some pictures up, but, those are ment to attract paintballers, not airsofters. The website is www.airsoftaction.com Also, if you guys are interested, there are cabin's for rent. I don't know how many Chris has left, but the sleep 10- 20 people, so if you "hilltoppers" wanna all get a nice bed with airconditioning and heat, I'd suggest you sign up know. My team already has one reserved, and the Friday night before the event is gonna rock. Hopefully we can get some people together and have us a nice down home Southern Indiana BBQ. Anyway, have a good day gentle men. I hope to see you guys and girls there. Trust me, you'll see me, and I'll find you guys out and shake everyone's hand. Or do autographs, whatever you want. Hope that you guys are able to come. If you guys have any more questions, I'll be glad to answer them.
