Man, sounds like you guys had a great time. Wish I could have been there. I finally have my AUG up and running again so at least I'll have ONE working gun ready for any future events. Too bad about the whole 'not calling yourself out' deal. Guess that's pretty common though with larger events. Don't see why it has to be so difficult, sheesh it's realism we're aiming for. Who cares if you never even got to fire off a round, if you're hit you're hit right? At least that's how I look at things. War isn't made to be fair, be it real or airsoft. Ahh well, what can ya do. Can't wait to see the pics! If anyone sees the pics posted on the AO boards please post a link to them here.

There was a lot of anger over people 'not taking the hits' when what was happening was medics were healing people up. I was a medic and people were totally disregarding the rules and expecting me to so as well. In the rules it said 'Sit down, wait three minutes, and if a medic isn't able to tap you where you were hit, you must return to the hopsital'. People were walking up to me and asking me to tap them. When our base got assaulted near the end of the first day, we were all pissed because we were watching our BB's bounce off of tango's and they didn't do anything. Later, the old lady on the DDT side told me they had a medic crawling behind their feet and he was just tapping their ankles whenever they got hit.
Frankly, for you guys who didn't go, it was the most disorganized scneario event I've been to, and I've been to about 15 at this point. The rules were either changed, disregarded, or non existenent when things got down to it and the refs were totally disinterested in enforcing them. That's just my feeling, but I wouldn't go to O:WT 2.

i would mainly just to knife the general, next time i have dibbs. I thought it was fun wether they were caling them or not, i was pecking people in the pecker and all that good stuff, i would attend as long as the next one is a little more organized and runs a little more on schedule. oh well all is fun until gay iceman wins yet another aeg to add to his arsenal. well what can ya do?

I know what you are saying Jacko! The refs seemed very annoyed with the fact they had to be there. Chris, the main ref, was being a fair and impartial guy on sunday afternoon. I think we bitched enough and he started making the other refs do their job.
I'm not sure, but was this the first big event at Valley Branch? If so, I can understand some of the growing pains and think that they will be more in tune to Airsoft by the next time they host an event.

YES thi was the first airsoft event they had ever held, therefore, they should have learned from their mistakes, YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER< they are used to playing paintball, they dont have all the complications and stuff due to airsoft. and DAMN ALL OF THOSE HIGH CAPS!!!!! I couldnt believe the number of them there, i thought maybe everyone there was a noob but no, they just like carrying rediculous amounts of ammo on the field. thus you can realll tell who used to play paintball!!

Wallace's pictures are posted here: www.airsoftohio.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=6263&forum=13&0The 36th (LRG_2599.JPG) picture down is of me during my madman shooting spree. Wallace was standing about 25-30 yards downhill of where I was targeting. He used a zoom to get pic 35 (reload) and 37. I believe the 3 pics before that are of some of the guys who were temporarily "pinned down" by my fire, but I have to confirm with Wallace.

I'm in the 2nd pic (My back is turned to the camera, I'm the tall one) and 6th pic (All the US medics, I'm on the right!). That's pretty sweet, I'm glad Wallace was there. ;D

Wow, didn't expect that many pics! I REALLY like the ones of Frostee sniping. He's got that same evil look in his eyes like the time he was shooting Viking's AK.

Hahahaahahaha Verman, you're just jealous. Hell, there are guys that own a lot more guns than me. Also, did you hear how many problems I had with my guns this weekend? the tappet plate on my M4 broke, the grease in debbie's M4 solidified, and my M16A2 was the only dependiable gun. So, that means that I should have at least 10-15 guns so that I can go through one game with a gun . But seriously, I'll be selling it. Any takers? I'd also like so say that you guys were great, and I really hope to play with you guys again. Thanks for comming.

Sheesh, there a couple MiAers at this game, I kind of wish I could have gone.
Could somebody PM the games that were played at this event, like how they were set up, and such? Thank you.

Damn Iceman, I had a spare tappet plate in my kit. I would've let you had it if I'd known. What'd you win, Iceman? I only know what I won, the Beretta EBB. (And you if you guys thought I was dissing it when I said I needed a paper weight, I was being honest. I do need a paper weight!)
