Now that the CG(A) is finally letting me get some trigger time, I am once again in the marker for tactical/duty gear. The only difference being that one day it may used when the rounds coming at me aren't made of plastic. With that said, I am turning to the only place I know for second opinions on tactical gear, the MiA community. In this case, a magazine dump pouch which can be used with a duty or "rigger's" belt. Truthfully, I have found what I am looking for in This but I am curious if anyone knows of a similar product that will do the same job for less. I have found Chinese clones on ebay for $5, but I don't want to trust my life to the craftsmanship of a potential future adversary. Also, I realize that since I am looking for quality prices will go up and if no, less expensive, alternative exists I understand. Thanks for your help.

I would say look for a Maxpedition RollyPoly dump pouch, they have three sizes depending on what you expect to put in it at one time. Just do a goggle search for it and you'll get a few results.
When it comes to being attached to a duty or rigger belt, you'd have to look at each one.
Hope that helps.

Are you limited to attachment on just the belt? If you can handle belt attachment as well as straps around your leg, you really can't do better than a drop-leg dump pouch by Tactical Tailor. Look here. I have 2 of them and love them. It's a really nice design, especially the flap and mouth. The flap has velcro such that it can be anchored to close over the bag to secure the contents, or anchored to itself to keep it out of the way and keep the mouth clear. And being a drop-leg, it's not another thing hanging off your belt/chest. It keeps it out of the way and in a natural position for magazine dumps.

Munin, a drop leg shouldn't be an issue since we have safariland drop leg holsters for our Sig 229s. Given the relatively limited space on a duty belt (especially for skinny guys like me), the drop leg may be a better option so that I can keep space free for other items which will eventually come (cuffs/pepper spray/etc).

Be careful with the drop leg dump pouches, if you plan on doing running, you'll need to pull your straps tight and loose before you put a mag in, not to mention that there is a very excessive noise when your running. The Maxpedition rollie pollie ones are nice i have one, and a few of our guys have them too. fit all 11 of my mags, (large), but the one you have pictured works well too. some guys have them too, they are big and hold a ton, but look very square till you break them in.

What Munin said. The TT drop-leg dump pouch is awesome. The mouth of the pouch is actually two wide pieces of elastic side-by-side, so mags go in, but don't come out, and you don't have to tighten anything, or even close the flap, to keep them in there. As lots of people here can attest to, I'm prone to some pretty mad runs, and I have yet to lose a mag out of mine. I believe they also make a molle version of the same pouch if you *have* to hang the thing off your belt...just wrap the included clips around your belt and go.

Personally I have been very fond of my Black Hawk Omega Drop Leg Dump Pouch. It has a velcro top, so you can open the top, drop the mags or evidence through the slit and you dont have to worry about loosing your mags mags. Its about 55-60 shipped but well worth it if you are able to use drop leg platforms.

Another chiming in praising the tt pouch. Between Munin and Xaos, there's really not much I can say, but if you're allowed drop leg, it's a damn good option.

I actually just picked up the Condor 3 Fold Mag Recovery pouch (Rolly Pollie) and it looks identical to the one you had posted Toothbrush. So far I love it. It stays rolled up and out of the way until I need it and then pull the velcro, and it falls down and its ready to accept my seed, I mean, empty mags. I trust it enough to run around in the woods without concern, which is a big thing to say considering my mags are $50 a piece. However the one I have only holds about 4 mags, but thats all I need, as I hardly ever go through all my mags.
They retail for about $20 I think.

I know we've had this discussion before, but I personally think that HSGI makes the best drop leg platform. Acting according to that belief, I ditched all my TT drop leg dump pouches and replaced them with HSGI drop leg MOLLE panels and TT MOLLE dump pouches. This solution is more expensive and moves around a little bit more when empty, but does a much better job of staying in place throughout a hard day's running around.
