For those of you who wear a thigh holster along with a plate carrier; is there a way to attach a belt to the plate carrier, like on a LBV, then attach the holster, or do you pretty much have to wear the belt separately? I'm a newbie to the new MOLLE plate carriers, so I'd kinda like to understand what I'm getting into before buying one. The particular plate carrier I'm looking at while formulating this question is here: redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/ProductDetail?prodID=22184

There are MOLLE drop-leg extensions, but the best bet most likely would be to get a belt underneath the PC.

Yup, you usually wear a pistol belt with the PC, and thus attach said holster to said belt...said.
You can attach certain holsters (Blackhawk SERPAs, a few others) to plate carriers, maybe you might consider that.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll go for the pistol belt/thigh holster idea until Blackhawk decides to make SERPAs for fullsize USPs.

They also make MOLLE adaptors for the Safariland 6004 series, which can be had to fit the USP.

Zorak, do you know if a Safariland 6004-6005 can be taken off the leg bay/shroud, so you can wear the holster on your hip? I saw a few pictures of MEU(SOC) guys in Iraq with M9's in Safarilands on they're hips, so I began to wonder.

The 6004 is just the tactical drop version of the 6280 (hip holster). Since Safariland switched over to their new UBL (universal belt loop) system, I believe the allen screws in the back match up to the new belt loop system (going from memory of holsters that I own).
My 6280 that I use for work is the older style and isn't compatible with my 6004 drop holster and I unfortunately don't know where my newer style safariland holsters are lying around to try.

Ok, Ill find out when it gets here I guess. Worst case scenario is that I can only wear it on my thigh, which is why Im buying it in the first place, so, no worries here.
Thanks Motown. +1 for useful information.
