Just looking for a little knowledge on what size batteries fit in a G36. I am interested in getting one and wanted to know what my options are.

without any mods, it will fit an 8.4 600 mAh mini. Jacko posted a "how-to" on modifying it to take a larger battery i believe. Take a look for that. I know it was on AO if you can't find it here. Other various how-to's have been posted on airsoftzone aswell.

You might want to check out some of the larger reatailers for custom G36 batteries, I've seen some around. I think I saw some at www.dentrinity.com not sure. But go to your favoraite retailer and type G36 into the search function. They should come up if the site has any. PS, I'll look around and post here if I find em agian. Results: www.dentrinityshop.com/den_search.jspType "B38" or "B39" in the search function. Those are the two that DEN has and as Jacko said they do require modifications.

About the biggest batteries for the G36C that're for sale at the various HK dealers...
I have only a small idea about how to get them to fit, and it involves the removal of a lot of material from the battery compartment, which includes exposing almost all of the inner barrel. While that may sound cool to you, I would only recommend trying it after extensive research. I doubt it's reversible and could open up your gun to physical damage that otherwise might not occur.
