Laylax is making an EoTech 552 knockoff, but theirs is going to house a battery pack. Picture shows 8.4 something or other, but lets hope it can go into the 9.6 range. Best idea ever.

but does it work as a sight, or do you have to have back-up irons as a primary?

I doubt it works as a sight. Not for that price. I mean look at the Hurricane kinda half ass working one. Almost $200 dollars.
Japanese Laylax parts and accessories are really expensive.
Who knows though. If it doesn't that would be kind of like putting a big silver wing on a Dodge Neon =)
My gun would be extra pimp with 2 EOTech's on it. All the 13 year olds would be jealous and want to touch me, err my gun.

I have nothing else to say it would definetly be extra pimp. Place one backwards so they but end to end....wow please do it so I can laugh. After reading the article again, I don't think it is functional....which makes it close to retarted. airsoft-news.eu/news.php?10

A functional sight that ran off of the battery pack would make more sense wouldn't it? It would cut your battery life but be a whole lot more practical.

That sucks, if it was 50 bucks it might not be a bad idea at all on something small like a kitty kat. But for 126 bucks...meh.
So much for best idea ever.

Well, that and they're (eotechs) are FUGLY. *Votes for Talisman's deportation of planet* Kidding. It is rather neat for those people that have odd setups and have no place to put the battery. Nifty idea though. Maybe something good for those with MP7s that would like to put a bigger batt. Because let's face it, an AN/PEQ on an MP7 just looks silly.

I dont know, Wildcard's MP7 looked mighty sweet with that PEQ on it. It owned as well, if I remember correctly.

EO Tech's should be reserved to the ones that actualy work as a Holosight.
I'll stick to my standard PEQ thank you.

PEQ 5's are way too small to carry a battery for anything really.
They do make a damn good laser though.
