My friend just got a new AK47S. He then charged his battery and loaded his mag with EXCEL bbs. Then he fired a couple of rounds. Then, nothing was coming out of the muzzle. He wasn't out of bbs, mag was wound, hmm. He brought it over to me to see if I could figure out what was wrong. I fired it and nothing came out. I then took his gun apart and found that I couldn't see light through the barrel, and, as I expected, it was jammed . I took the cleaning rod and pushed out from the mechbox end about 20 bbs. I picked them up off of the floor and inspected them to see if maybe a bb or two were not quite right. About 15 of the 20 had SEAMS!! Then I thought, "Maybe the gun made the seams", so I checked some of the unused bbs that fell into the bottom of the box. They all had SEAMS!! So now I'm wondering if EXCELS are all they cracked up to be. I haven't checked the other bbs in the bag but I expect them to have seams also.

Was the bag sealed when he opened it up?
Perhaps you just got a really bad batch?

Well now I just feel stupid.
I just talked to him and he said he was just storing some cheap .20 bbs like are in the grenade loaders in an EXCEL bag.
EDIT: Let this be lesson to all that you should ALWAYS use high quality BRAND NAME bbs like real EXCEL and Tokyo Marui.

Personally I prefer good old Tokyo Marui bbs, sure they cost more and EXCELS get the same job done but I have never ever came across a bad TM bb. Also EXCELS shatter, which could be dangerous especially in CQB where as TM bbs split into halves.

Aah they all shatter, and I've had my share of Marui and Excel lemons in the past. My last bag of Excel's were horrible. :-P
Still, I'd rather get Excels and get a few more shots for the money.

Viking: I'll have to show you this bag of TM .25s sometime if you want to see shitty Marui BBs. These things are like jagged sandpaper BBs they're so horrible! In fact, after I tried using a few and had every single one jam, I took a marker and wrote "CRAP!!!" on the bag, tossed it in my closet and haven't touched it since.

Hmm, I find it extremely hard to believe you found a TM bag with anything but perfect bbs, I haven’t in my 4 years. You know whop ever sold them to you could of ripped ya off. Tm bags are like a plastic bag and the means of sealing them is with a single staple. It would be very easy to rip someone off.

That's what I told the seller, but he swore up and down that they were TM. Whatever, I'm sure they'd work fine in a 165 BB grenade, mwahahaha! Mini Launcher on MP5 RAS anyone? ;D
