Well, after playing a couple games of airsoft today, my paintball goggles finally showed their weekness... they began to fog in between the two layers of plastic lens ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Well, needless to say, I need a replacement, and I am looking to buy some good goggles that A) Comfortably fit glasses. B) Don't fog in humind temperatures and C) Won't scratch very easily. I would just like to know what other people here would suggest from experience. I don't care how much it costs, just as long as they fit the three criteria above. O ya, and how do those wire mesh goggles work out?

i have heard that the wire goggles can sometimes be a hazrad. when the bb hits them, it breaks and small shards go flying into I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. face. plus they are not allowed at a lot of events

If you want something that goes over glasses, you are limited to two options (that I know of). Either Bolle X500s or the ESS land ops I have owned both and both work well. I know that psychosis also uses the land ops and likes them. My recommendation would be the ESS land ops as they are a much lower profile goggle than the X500s. As for the fogging, get C-clear gel and never worry about it again!

If you have fog in between the two panes of your lens, the seal between them is shot. Replace the lens. If they didn't fog much until now, the new lens won't fog either.

I stand by my ESS Tactical Thermal goggles. They're a bit bulky, but have not once fogged on me, despite some seriously adverse situations - overdriven mansweat and simultaneous high humidity included. Normally, I wear glasses, but when I play airsoft, I put in a contact lens *. My goggles will work with glasses in a pinch, but it's not terribly comfortable and the glasses will fog on their own anyway. I got mine at www.safetyglassesusa.com/ on sale for about $40, and it is among the best quadruple sawbuck I've ever spent. They come with peel-off lens protectors, but I never used them. Over the three years they've been saving my eyes, the Tactical Thermals have picked up a few scratches, but always as a result of my own stupidity as opposed to normal wear and tear. * In my family, the bizarre genetic thing is to have one myopic eye. The other is 20/20 or better. Go figure.

These are also high performance goggles, they also accentuate the sexy Harry Potter aura...... ![](http://www.dannystrixkix.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/harry%20potter%20glasses%20large.jpg)

Ok, I'm thinkin about getting contacts just to play airsoft. Anyway, I'm guessing that i could use anti fog stuff on my glasses right?
I'm thinking of either the LandOps or the Bolle goggles, but are the LandOps worth the extra money? I just found some RX inserts, would they be worth getting.
Wow.... Madbomber... please only post information to help me .....

Land Ops are great, I've run into fogging a few times but it wasn't that bad. Generally any of the ESS goggles in the Striker series should work, since they share similar frames and run the same lens. You could, however, combine our input with Enki's, and get thermal lenses for your Land Ops goggles were you to purchase some.

Not only will this be a slim design it is also highly fashionable.

Would it be worth getting the RX inserts and using those lenses though?

not really, unless you could find some use for your rx inserts outside of airsoft
