If a tailcap fits the G2, It'll likely fit the G2z also. Surefire is pretty good about standardization amongst their various "lines" of lights.
Re: mounts - any 1" scope ring works just fine. Fancy "flashlight" mounts are typically overpriced and an unnecessary expense (though some of them look damned sexy), IMNSHO.
Also, I'll echo Zorak's bit about the looks. If anyone makes fun of the appearance of your "plain-jane" Surefire, simply remind them that while they have a pretty poseur replica light, you've got the real deal. Then flash them with it. Finally, shoot them.

The G2Z is identical to the G2 except for the contour of the body. The G2Z body is shaped to allow you to use it with a handgun in the Rogers/Surefire grip mode. If you think you might ever use the light with a handgun (real or airsoft), then yes, the G2Z might make sense. Otherwise it'd be a waste of money.

Ok, So everyone agrees to get the G2 ?
Xaos.... I have nothing else to say, Just flash them with it. Yeah, I don't think I'll have the problem of any comments about it, but that's pretty funny.
Thanks - Kevin
