I've used them, the AG-01's or whatever their called, and their not very good, or very reliable. You have to get the mixture perfectly right, or the grenade won't explode, and if it does, the spread of the BB's isn't very good.

Yeah, they are more of an intimidation factor more then anything. I have a couple, and have used a couple. You need to get the mixture right, and tighten the top really good. If it leaks, it won't explode. I usually use .20s in it, but I am going to try .12s, .20s, and .25s to see which give the best results. I am in the process of doing a sort of review for the AG-01s. My suggestion, is to just skip ahead and buy the ESCORT M26A1.

With the AG-01's you have to use baking soda and vinegar I think it is, and when you push down on the top of the grenade, it mixes the 2, and then the pressure builds up, and it explodes, but its almost impossible to time them correctly, so its hard to effectivly use them.

Gestapo is right, the AG-01s use a sort of Baking soda and vinegar recipe to explode (since its non pyro-technic) to propel the BBs and give the sort of real looking grenade feel. (Grenades explode, so they tried to make that happen, as safe and effective as possible. But the effectiveness isn;t that effective....since everything has to be just right.P)

Yeah, Ag-01.... Not the best thing... I set it directly underneath me..... shook it, pressed the button.... and... not 1 bb hit me...... or.. for that matter... shot anywhere.... And it's not easy to do, you have to add warm water to it..... so.... you have to do it at home, and then you are carrying a waterfilled grenade around in your bags, or you use your cold water from camel baks to fill them later on. Like evertone said, very unreliable.
My Teammates an I are going to be buying the M26A1's for ......... I mean.... getting them from *santa*, So if you want to wait another month, I will get back to you on them, and if they work well.... with many videos. They are directional though, I think it's a 30-45 degree area only. The good part is that they have a timer on them, and being green gas powered, I'd trust it to blow off more on time than the ag-01... which took nearly 20 seconds to blow up.. PLenty of time for it to be thrown back and forth, enemy to enemy. I have nothing else to say.

I'd like to know how well they work, I kind of doubt their effectiveness.

It may start a forest fire if the ground is dry enough. But i did this and it is really cool. I took an empty film canister filled it with .20 bb's+2 black cats, poked a hole in the top to feed the fuse through, lit it, tossed it, bb's flew everywere in the direction it was pointing.

The whole point is to use non-pyrotechnics though.
I will try and get the review with pictures / videos up soon on the AG-01.
