I am planning on going for a USCG MSST get up soon and I am trying to find the helmet they use. As far as I can tell they use a Gentex TBH-II Spec Ops tactical ballistic helmet or the homeland defense version. ( www.gentexcorp.com/helmetsystems/TBH-SpecOps.htm ) Anyway, if anyone knows were I can find a TBH-II helmet, and perferably a replica due to price that would be great. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

I assume you mean this Unfortunetally that is a replica kevlar helmet. The helmets are somewhat similar but the TBH-II has no lip in front and the sides (covering the ears) do not protrude nearly as much. And I already have a replica kevlar helmet. Thanks though. Again any help in finding a TBH-II look-a-like or a real one at a good price would be great. Edit: Find a real one on DBT for $425, looks like my only option is going to be a replica or using a different helmet for the set up. Edit: Also, the real TBH2 are restricted sale items (law enforcement/military).

Perhaps "edit" one of the helmets to have no lip?

Try DevilDog he sells replicas that use the actual covers. PM him for details.

Perhaps "edit" one of the helmets to have no lip? Hmm, modify a helmet. Good idea, certainly something I will keep in mind. Try DevilDog he sells replicas that use the actual covers. PM him for details. I am a bit confused by what your saying pathfinder as none of the MSST guys have helmets with covers. Maybe DD could chime in either to expand on what your saying and/or share his military experince.

That looks like your basic MICH helmet to me. JUST makes a MICH helmet replica that's pretty nice. Airsoft GI sells them in both black and tan. The guy in the picture is wearing his way too high. They have removable pads in them that will let you get it to the right level.

Thanks Munin. I think you might be right. Upon further research it seems that the TBH-II is a MICH replacement/alternative so I think I will go that route.
Thanks to everyone for your assistence.

Are you going to paint your foregrip blue too? Very creative of a different load out to go for.

generally, having anything on you thats bright colored (like baby blue for example) while your playing in forest or snow is a bad thing...

They paint the barrels blue for training. Those are either shooting blanks or they're airsoft/paintball guns.

I see what you are talking about, and yes those are training weapons too.
I am also finding it a challenge to get non-training pics, but at the same time I am not very surprised.
