I was just wondering if anyone had some insight on an ALICE web gear that'd be great or if they sell them at Harry's surplus or the one place called Metropolitan Uniform.

You can get ALICE gear at most surplus stores. Metropolitan Uniform doesn't sell it.
All in all, it's decent enough stuff for the price. If you've got the cash, however, it'd be better to go with a current-issue MOLLE type vest, one of the BHI designs, or a modular setup.

Basic ALICE gear is just uncomfortable. My setup is based off of an ALICE setup, but I have it heavily modified with newer stuff (mostly BH). If you are going to go with GI ALICE gear, I would recomend getting this: www.blackhawkindustries.com/product_detail.asp?product_id=1933&d=Those are the suspenders that I use, and they are much more comfortable the GI ones. Other then that, ALICE gear isnt half bad, except for comfort. For availibility, ALICE gear is sold in 90% of places that sell gear, so it isnt that hard to find.

I paid 12 bucks for a Y-harness, another 3 for a belt, and like 5 bucks for a mag pouch...not at Harry's, but most surplus stores typically offer the same general prices.
You can get a pretty much complete setup (i.e. Harness, Belt, 3 double mag pouches, a buttpack, and 2 canteens with pouches) for less than 50 bucks pretty easily.

If you play in the summertime for extended periods, you'll want 2 canteens. Trust me. Running out of water = bad...very bad.
