I have a prescription deal for my new glasses where I can get a second frame for 50% off along with any new lenses I might get. Now, what I was thinking was Oakley Minute sunglasses with prescription lenses.
Here is my question: Is it okay to wear these for ops and such? I know some people over at airsoftplayers love them, and the default lenses are supposed to be Z87.1 compliant. I would have to ask the retailer if prescription lenses are impact-resistant as well.

Unless something has radically changed in the design of Oakley sunglasses, they are not full-sealing. It doesn't matter how shatter resistant that are if bb's can get in through the sides of them between the lens and your cheek. There was a movie posted here and on a few other boards a while back that showed a guy getting a pellet in the eye (it ricocheted off a tree). I believe that he was wearing Oakleys.
In short, no, they're not safe for an Op. If you were to show up at an Op that I was running with this kind of eyewear, I'd send you to the nearest Meijers to buy yourself a paintball mask before I let you onto the field.

If they don't have a full seal with you face then I wouldn't trust them to protect my eyes while BBs are flying.

You could always wear your sunglasses under you goggles.

Well, those things would definitely earn you lots of kills, as your opponents would be too busy laughing at your goofy-lookin' ass to shoot you.
That said, read mite's post again. If they're not full-sealing, they're no good. Period. No exceptions. At all.

Wow, you revived this dead thread to make that absolutely inane and completely off-topic post?
Congratulations.
