Upon recieveing a two-pack of these radios I was very excited and instantly thought "these would be greast for airsoft." My father and I each received one of these two-packs for christmas, and here is what I think of them so far.
First, let me go over the specs:
up to 5 Mile Range
836 Privacy Channel Combinations with 22 Channels and 38 Privacy Codes
Scan (Channel, Privacy Code)
Water Resistant
Call Alert (10 Selectable Tones)
Backlit LCD Display
1 Year Limited Warranty
That is just the tip of the iceberg, you can view the rest of the Features here:

It does not take too long to bring the nimh batteries to peak. The batteries will last you a full weekend of skrimishing (at least!). They are very durable, and they have taken a fair share of trips to the ground and such. I have never had a problem with these radios. The PTT microphone and belt clip just make this deal that much sweeter. It also includes a base charger designed to charge both radios at once. This package, SKU# PR 240-2 , can be found at a local retailer, such as Meijer or Wallmart for under $60.
Performance:
I used one radio in a winter skirmish with about 6" of snow down. I plugged in the PTT mic, and put an zip-lock bag over the radio. I then zip-tied the end, so it made the bad water-tight, but left me enough to push the buttons necessary for operation. I then ran the cord up my shirt, and clipped it on the collar. Finally, I placed the radio in my pocker.
The radios worked great the whole day, and never gave me one bit of trouble. The microphone got a little snow in it, but still operates perfectly.
All in all, I feel this is a great package for skirmishing, camping or any other use you may have with it. I love mine, and I prefer them to our $120 industrial-grade Motorolas. With all the things included for the price tag of under $60, the deal just can't be beat.
