I have a new Mc51 tm.I have purchased 3 8.4v 600mah golden power mini batteries. They are not working to well and i was wondering if i could use a 9.6v 1100 mah nunchuck battery? I would also like to know if golden power is a good brand for batteries?

Will the 9.6v damage my gun? And will it even fit into the foregrip?

It will cause a marginally larger amount of wear and tear on your gears and piston. Lots of people run 9.6V batteries in stock guns without any problems. I've been doing so in my MP5 for nearly a year now.
I don't have any clue if a 9.6V 1100 mah nunchuck will fit, however...I don't have any experience with the MC51

nav, i have an mc-51 and initially ,the first mod i made was to install a guarder large foregrip so i could switch to a 9.6v "v" battery that i think was 1700 mah. it really cranked up the rate of fire with no bad effects on the gearbox,at least for the 5-6 months i ran it that way . it was then converted to a "SD" 51 by adding a SD front end from a MP-5 and was also upgraded internally to around 360 FPS and continues to function very well at this level. the only drawback was i had to come up with a different 9.6 battery to fit the smaller SD battery compartment. after much experimenting (and frustration) i have several NI-MH 9.6v 1650 mah custom batterys that fit the SD and operate it at a good rate of fire and longitivy(last thru a skirmish)it is no doubt my favorite piece in the collection so far and the most used. modified or not ,i recommend the 9.6 v and the guarder foregrip combo as it also allows some accessories to be mounted on the rails (included) such as a vertical foregrip, tac-light or laser.

Rogue1 i was wondering where did you get your guarder large ris foregrip from? I might get one in the near future. Where did you get the 9.6v 1700mah battery as well?

I emailed 21st and he said that the nunchuck battery will fit in the foregrip of the Mc51. I also asked him about the prices of the foregrips. They were a little to expensive for me. I will just buy the 9.6v 1100mah nunchuck battery.
