I'm curious if anyone has a blackhawk omega strike vest like the one from diamondback tactical. This isn't a newb question, my question is; is there anyone of girth using/owning one of these vests, how does it fit? I'm built like a beer barrel and looking for an lbv, but since all the equipment models are like Dennis Chalker USN SEAL (retired) i can't get a decent perspective....sigh...

As was explained to me, there are two sizes of Omega Vests: one size that fits most everyone, and a size that will fit The Fridge. Choose accordingly.

Normal size blackhawk vests will fit most anyone comfortably even when wearing level III or level IV body armor.
And like Jacko said, a large size can fit a refrigerator

I will now remind you that Blackhawk == mediocre gear made in Vietnam and that several companies, including TT, make better gear right here in the US. I have at least another four inches of adjustment room on each side of my TT MTV, and I'm not at all sure you're eight inches bigger around than I am. If it would help induce you to buy American, I'd be happy to take off the electrical tape currently keeping all my extra cordura in check and see if my vest could adjust to fit you. Even if it doesn't, everything I've heard about TT leads me to believe that they would happily accept a custom order for an oversize vest.
