After a decade of attempting to manufacture their own nuclear weapons, the Iranian leadership became impatient. Nearly two years of negotiations with China yielded a deal that would align Iran's economy with China in exchange for an unspecified number of nuclear warheads, along with the capability to launch them. The entire plan went unnoticed by the United States until US satellites spotted the nuclear missiles being transported to Tehran for a parade.
The US and Great Britain, acting on positive intelligence, gave Tehran an ultimatum: disarm or be disarmed. Iran never responded.
US and British soldiers in Iraq were put on high alert, in preparation for a military strike, that will pit them against a well-fortified enemy in Iran while being harassed by Sunni extremists.
