I'm pretty much brand new around here - in fact this Saturday will be my first time getting out to play Airsoft. Having played Paintball in the past and thinking nothing of driving across the state to play a good game or play a big game the drive really isn't a big deal. What I don't get is why people are complaining about $25 bucks to play for 8 hours - hell I'd roll through $25 dollars in paint between the starting line and my first bunker laying out the suppresion fire for my teammates. To speak nothing of the $10 or $15 dollar field fees - or markup on Paint - Nitro/Co2 etc. $25 bones for an organized all day event is a damn gift. But - I digress - I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of the MIA folks on Saturday and getting my first real taste of Airsoft. Having been much more interested in the bigger games in Paintball with their Scenario and tactical objectives - I'm sure I'm a convert already. -Nynja

Scenarios will include the following: 1. Hostage Recovery 2. Search & Destroy Mission 3. Weapons Deal Making 4. Bio-Chemical Seizure 5. Pistol Games (if you love pistol games - you're in for a treat) I know many people will be traveling with thier battle buddies and plan on playing together which is great. We don't intend to break you up from your detachment. However, we will try to mix up the teams every scenario so you will have an opportunity to play with other individuals. Be on time - we want to get started as soon as possible. Detailed aerial maps with the improvements and pathways will be handed out to every individual. (HIGHLY recommend to bring a compass) Water will be available on site.

bishop-
Why not to play paintball-
-ammo
-gas
-retarted feild fees
-expensive fake rainbow armor
If you complain about an op fee then you definatly wouldnt be into the cost of paintball.

I live in Lansing but that’s still a hitch from you. I would come even if you don’t know anyone. I remember the first time I showed up at an event I didn’t know a single person but I had the time of my life and got to know quite a few people.

As most of you may know from previous events, this will be a rain or shine event. I can attest that playing in the rain, in the woods, is an incredible experience and one you should try at lease once! Trees catch a lot of the rain in a woodland environment. Rain does not hurt AEGs unless you like to hold the barrel upward in a lightning storm to act as a lightning rod or you decide to go swimming with it strapped to your back. Added listening skills are required ;D I guarantee that you will be as wet as you are with the rainfall compared to your own sweat in the 80+ degree weather that we have had this summer. I would prefer rainwater than sweat anyday

i just want to say the op was GREAT! it was a lot of fun and even though it drizzled at the start i still had a blast.
all you people that said you would go *cough* *cough* "Wolfe" but couldn't due to food poisoning , maybe next time. ;D
and if the rain stooped any of you then you just all losers,
oh and for the $25 fee, who ever said it was to steep is stupid, these guys bust there ass making a field just for airsoft, they try and give all you guys good times and ask for 25 bucks just so they can add more things and pay for the stuff they got. when they closed the ACO building down there was no team that even tried to host like ACO did, people like myself looked up to ACO to host events and we got a real treat out of the ones they did host. then when aco left all we had were small team practices and Bill's Sunday games, if you say 25 bucks is to much for frickin 35+ acres , bunkers, and a lot of ACO's time, your a cheap-ass and have no thought on how well these things are put together.

Wish I could have made it, but Military and family commitments take priority over airsoft.
Sub, as for the 25 bucks, it is to steep for some people. Remember, not everyone lives in the area. I know that ACO puts a lot of money, time and sweat equity into their events (I've been to a few). But before you tell someone how stupid tehy are, stop and think how much this event cost you? For me, it's $25 for the entry fee, roughly $70 in gas, food, smokes and whatever else pops up. So, all in all, it's going to run me around $150 for a day. Trust me, if I didn't have to requlify with my rifle and take a PT Test, I would have been there!!

Great time, Well planned scenarios, awaosme site just one tip. Dont go alone. I Split up from Wargy and ended out of bounds in some other neck of the woods and found my way back right before the next game started. Good times though.

I know that he wasn't.. I was just trying to get him to look at the big picture... It's not the event fee, it's everything else involved in it... He needs to be a little more open minded.
