Sorry Zak when I said Special Forces I was talking about Special Forces around the world which would include the SAS. I disagree with wearing any black at all in snow conditions; I should have elaborated on snow conditions last night. Snow is different in that pretty much everything around you is a single color, white. It is extremely easy to pick out even a little bit of black in the snow. Again the last GK practice we held was in the snow and the only way I could spot the snow camo people was by there black balaclavas, gloves, guns. The only time I would advise wearing black in the snow is when your have a good mixture of melted patches and patches of snow and even then I would say wear od green or brown or something.

Just a little useless info, but I've read black is not good in any outdoor situation (whether it be nighttime, day, summer, or winter). Black, even at nighttime, can be darker than its sorroundings, so any movement with someone wearing black can be seen. At least with camo you might get away without being seen.
