Operation: Jungle Assault - June 25th 05 (IL.)

Operation: Jungle Assault
9 Hour Event 10AM- 7PM (CENTRAL TIME)
June 25th, 2005
Shelbyville, Illinois

In early spring of 2005, four nuclear missiles were stolen from the US
when a convoy of terrorists ambushed the trucks while they were being
transported. US satelites have tracked their location to the jungle.
Terrorists now have their hands on nuclear weapons and plan to use them.
Possible targets are Chicago, St. Louis, and Detroit. Terrorists are in
the process of covertly buidling a launch pad in the jungle, but
construction has been slow due to lack of supplies. US forces have been
able to slow the terrorist supply line while they are determining the
exact location to start the jungle assault. SWAT and Special forces are
working together to eliminate the threat once and for all.

Your mission is as follows:
US intelligence has narrowed the location of the nukes to a 50 acre
section of the jungle. It is your job to locate and secure the nuclear
weapons. Proceed with extreme caution! Opposing force is heavily armed
with AK47's, Sniper Rifles, and other assault weapons. The terrorists
will be heavily fortifying their position and trying to stop the US
forces from finding the nukes at all costs.



Here's how the points are worked out.

- Each team will be allowed 2 missiles. They each are aimed at the
enemies base. There will be a perimeter marked off around the base, so
when the missiles are launched, anyone in that perimeter dies. Each
person that is killed in the attack, is +2 points.

- There will be 9 missions for each team, Missions come in on the hour,
and have to be completed by the time the next comes in.

- If the enemy base is taken over by either side, meaning there are no
opposing forces left, 100 points are awarded to the team that overtook
the base.

- If you take out the enemy general( commander ), then your team will
recieve 50 points.

- An extra 5 points are awarded for raising your flag at the
flagstations on your missions.

Medics get medic cards with 5 lines on them. They write your name down
every time they medic you. When their 5 slots fill up, then they need to
go back to base, and get another card. They may only carry one card on
them at a time, and they can get as many cards as they need from the base.

You can prepay for bb's in an interesting way. When you register, you
get a bag, but if you want more, then you can prepay for some, and then
someone at your base will hold the bb's. You give them your ticket, and
they give you your bb's. This prevents people from having to carry bb's
with them, and leave to field and go to the staging area to buy them!
It's much easier this way!!!

Come camp on the field instead!!! Forget wherever I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. going, Tell them u found a better place! My team is going to a local hotel, being that it is discounted and everything.. and the 3 hour drive.. but otherwise, camping would be fun, done it twice on the field for 2 nights each before.

I like the scenario and the idea behind it. What I don't like is all the picky rules the field has. I'm not going to be able to make it because of age and vacation. I realize that the rules are meant for safety, but the field only BB's and the muzzle plug/barrell cover are a bit strict for me. I do not know what happened to the one that game with my gun. The face protection rule seems a bit overboard to me also, if someone wants to wear one that should be thier choice. Typically I do wear my balaclava but in the summer it may get a bit hot. Also the raise the arms AND weapon above the head seems a bit unreasonable. I have a rather tight sling that does not really permit me to move my weapon above my head quickly. I would like to play the scenario you made and such, but the field seems a bit strict. I know it is out of your hands but its just my thoughts on it.

Actually, it is not out of my hands Knife. But since you're going on vacation, im not going to try and argue to change anything since you wont be there anyways.


Edit* Guys, we are running out of time, can you please do me a favor and help spread word on this event!?!? It's to save a brand new airsoft field... We need people to be there, if not, the land may just be sold.... Please do it to save an airsoft field!

Is there a roster compiled yet? I just want to know how evenly stacked the teams are and how many people have pre-registered.

I have nothing else to say, this scenario was just made 2 days ago, we need people helping get the names out.... people tell us the are gunna pre-register the day before it ends, to make sure nothing comes up.. the teams.. we will make sure they are balanced.. and so far.. i dont know if anyone is preregistered... Me, and my 2 co-leaders should be attending this game, but are having problems with rides.. and hotels... He said there are a lot of locals there that will just show up the day of and pay cash instead of using credit cards.. i dont know though.

Edit* UPDATE: 3 guys from Decatur just registered... and.. my 2 teammates should be doing it very soon.. We just need a few people to start the list.


2nd Edit* Alright, He decided to encourage everyone to pre- reg, because the Chicago Airsoft Association is planning on playing, and it's going to be too hard to calculate teams otherwise. Right now, 10 are registered. 30$, but it's 50$ at the gates now instead.. .this will push people to register first... the 30$ includes 2k of field bioval bb's. He says they shoot just as good, or better than excels.

Actually, I can say that Bioval BB's work like shit, at least through a 249, when compared to Excel BB's. Zorak's jammed up 4 times at Safari Strike.

Where did you buy them from!?!? 6mmshop was carrying some that was nearly 2 years old, which is past their shelf life. They were an earlier prototype, and yes, not very good at all. New bioval's are a whole different story.

Sorry man. When I got a PM that just said "go here", I thought you'd chosen a really obnoxious way of drawing attention to your event.

The Biovals Jacko kept picking out of my magazine were pretty new - I bought 'em in April 3rd and they've been in my basement (cool and dry) ever since. They were also the only BBs I'd ever put through that gun, until late in the day when I bought the Excels. I managed to get off about two hundred Excels in one long burst, which is better than the Biovals managed. That said, since it was my first day with that SAW. I figure there's still maybe a 15% chance it was the gun and not the BBs. But I ain't buyin' any more Biovals for a while.

Hmm, Well, Maybe a bad batch if nothing else then. Derek, owner of paintball-x, and this event... ( and a million other things..) said his shoot great, and I trust him enough to take his word for it. So hopefully they work fine, I was on the phone with him when they first came in, and i heard him running them through his gun, they sounded liek they shot fine, but i have never saw them in action with my own eyes. I am trusting that he would use good bb's on his field, because if he didnt, it would only hurt him.... ( and our wallets for a few hours )

Zorak, Yeah, Sorry about the way that i did it, I was "working on the clock" you could say..... around the house. My dad is paying me hourly to prepare our yard for landscaping, So I had to quickly get back out and get working. I didn't want to be inside long when im getting paid for outside work. I'm not getting anything out of this event, other than a fun time myself, so i'm only posting it here for others to come and have fun, and to give me more to shoot at.

You guys should see some of the emails i am getting... I invited a lot of teams from the Chicago Airsoft Association.... And they refuse to drive more than an hour, pay more than 5-10$, follow the field rules, and pay for field ammo.... Cheap people here... I figured I could depend on chicago, it's a high income area for the most part... Stupid chicago people

Please come! It's saving a 300,000$ field that was just bought and is now looking like it is going to go out of business in under a month.... Only a small group is going to be out there, unless something really changes these 2 weeks, I am not getting anything out of this, but please, fields are hard to come around in Illinois, Tell your friends, teammates... anything.. Camp out, or rent hotels... weekend vacation... I dont know. Please consider it!
