Are these googles good for airsoft? I don't feel like lossing my eyes, but I heard these are excellent at not fogging up and good for periphial vision.

Yes, the Bolle T-800's seem to be very good for airsoft. They have a very low profile and excellent ventilation which decreases fogging. However, we have had one player who had a bb pass (harmlessly) between the frame and the lense on the underside (cheek area) of the goggle. Special attention must be given to making sure the lenses are in the correct position on the frame and that the gap between the lense and frame is consistent. If the lense is mounted to the frame correctly the gap between the two should be significantly less than the diameter of a bb. If the frame is worn or if the lense is installed incorrectly that gap could be large enough to allow a bb to pass. In our case, we think that the lense was knocked out of place during some previous activity, but was close enough to looking correct and pass unnoticed. Needless to say we all pay more attention to our goggles now.

Actually no Frostee, the lens was in the correct place, it was because the bb entered threw the bottom of the goggle. (I was falling backwards while Minky shot) Honestly I wouldn’t use my T800s if I had the money to buy different goggles, chip teeth I can live with, damaged eyes I can not. You will notice that if you have your goggles on nice and snug the frame keeps a nice profile with your face horizontally. But because the lenses are so stiff vertically the lens does not mold to your face which increases the size of the gap vertical mainly under the goggles around the cheek bone. While this gap will still be smaller then the diameter of a bb a bb traveling at 350 fps can still make its way threw. The only reason I haven’t suggest that the goggles be outlawed in MiA rules is because it’s the most popular goggle with airsoft players, however they do make the same goggle with the same nice low profile but with a sealed frame and lens that I would much rather people buy. I guess the way to look at it is over a 50ish games period with multiple players using the goggle in question only one incident like this has occurred and in the end it was harmless… take that for what you will.

Hmmm, I could be mistaken... However, I do clearly remember seeing your goggles with the lense out of position in the frame. The ventilation gap at the bottom (between the frame and lense) was bigger than it should have been. I even remeber the conversation we had, wondering if that was the cause of the bb entering. You had previously removed the lense from the frame and the lense had shifted down either during reinstallation, or sometime after that. I clearly remember us talking about how the frame needed a locator along the bottom edge, because the lense is really only held in place at the bridge of the nose and the sides. It can, and did, shift vertically which causes the ventilation gap at the bottom to be greater than 5.94mm.
But maybe I'm mistaken.
Of course you bring up a very valid point about frame fit. If the frame does not fit your face you shouldn't be using the goggles. The best option for super KAZ2K at this point would be to find someone who has the Bolle's and try them on for fit. If they don't fit properly, try something else. For some of us the Bolle's fit perfectly well, every face is different.
BTW which Bolle model has a lense sealed to the frame?

Hmm I do believe you’re mistaken, for I don’t remember that conversation. I do remember talking to you or someone else about maybe sealing that lower section with tape or something. I couldn’t see myself not putting the goggles back together properly after a reinstallation, since it’s basically like putting a square peg threw a square hole, simple. I do however remember taking the lens off after the game to inspect and recreate the situation, prephase that’s how you came to the conclusion of the lens not being install properly.

Maybe. Regardless, the Bolle T-800's are a nice goggle, provided the fit to the face is correct and the lenses are in the correct position.

I believe you would need to contact Bolle or your eye doctor for that.
