After we finished up saturday at Logical Response, and the long...boring...uneventful drive back to dog's house, we were finally able to get some picture taken of his new cqb gear, and of course, our quite sexah new patches. (I would directly link to the page, but there are some very distrubing looking pictures of myself, that I'd better leave not seen...a long drive, and lack of sleep are what I blame mtasc.us/Picture%20029.jpgmtasc.us/Picture%20031.jpgmtasc.us/Picture%20024.jpgmtasc.us/Picture%20025.jpgNow we wait for Mike to post up the movies of the Hostage Rescue scenarios

Aww man, I feel so left out. Love the gear Gentlemen and the patch looks great too. Wish I could see a more detailed shot of it though (hint hint) Hopefully I'll be able to join in on one of your Swatcapades very soon.

Yea, I was hoping I wasn't too loud Though, if you were the least bit intimidated, then...I did my job As for the patch, we'll have to wait for devildog to get back, and he'll probably be able to fix everybody up with a close up of our patch.

yea...not the greatest picture of myself, but...it captures the moment...however horrendously. If it wasnt the 4 hours of wearing a balaclava, and 20 pound vest, maybe it was the ride back, but all I know, is that I look like I'm on crack-and that's all that counts ;D
edit...muhahaha...gotta love ftp access

Now THAT is a great looking patch. Everything looks very professional and well made. Just wondering, how much did it cost to get those made and what was the minimum order? We need to get some MIA patches made this year and since I'm impressed with the work done on your patch maybe we could use the same store/patch-shop. Oh, and do you happen to have any more? My sleeve is feeling mighty lonely after seeing those beauties.

I may be able to shed *some* light as to how much the total cost was, though, it wasn't I who took them to the shop and had them made. It was somewhat expensive, only because we went the option, of having the shop digitize the patch, so that they would have a "record" of it, making it easier to go back and get more. I do know, that I sent devildog 50 bucks, and he sent me 6 armpatches-I would assume that the individual cost is somewhere around 7 or 8 bucks, granted, we didnt do a very large order at one time, and the money it took to digitize the patch itself, the cost would undoubtedly be less the higher the quantity.
The patch isn't totally complete yet, we had planned on making up rockers beneath the patch, which labeled which city we hailed from. We are still working on getting outfitted with the basic patch first, then figuring out the color scheme to do the rockers- in order for it to mimic the armpatch with as little contrast as possible.
As far as having any more, we might, and I know it is pretty easy to call the place up and have them make some more. When dog sees this, I'm pretty sure he can tell you the exact process and estimate costs.

I decided to use a local shop to get them done. Granted, the internet has places that do them cheaper, but I like to keep my business local.
Here's how it breaks down:
$65 for Digitizing (now it's on file forever). $8 per patch (3 inch). Seeing how we did a small order, it was a tad more expensive per patch.
The nice thing is I can order 1 patch at a time. So there is no minimum order. The turnaround time is roughly 3 to 5 days. I'm gonna put an order in tomorrow, so I'll order one extra one for you Hado!!

Ooo! That's not a bad price at all! I should probably show the latest version of the standard MiA patch. Frostee (And his wife) gave me lots of suggestions, let me know what you guys think.

Nice work on the MTASC patch. I might have to start an airsoft patch collection, beginning with yours. Nice use of organic silhouette in your design. Very creative.
What does everyone think of Jacko's Michigan Airsoft patch design?

I think Jacko has some major gripe with Traverse City.
