Do Excel's biodegradable BBs break down over time if I keep them too long? Or do they break down in sunlight?

The true excel bio BBs (http://www.wargameclub.com/cgi-bin/cart/shopper.cgi?itm_items_EX-BB-BIOD02 ) should be stored away from moisture and sunlight, as stated in Engrish on that page. As long as you keep them in something sealed, I would think you could store them for a while.

Andy, i think you tried to hard to break them down. Most tests that people have done conclude that it takes over a year for them to break down. What are you doing? if it's more than sitting them in the grass in your yard and marking where they are, then it's too much. Maybe your dad hit it with the mower and shower biodegradable plastic all over the yard?

JDL has it about right, it takes about a year for that kind of plastic to biodegrade (physical science lab-really we put chemicals on them, collected the data, and use some formulae, and it was around 380 days for it to break down). Though it takes shorter/longer depending on the conditions-temperature, weather, and all of those other great mitigating factors.

ha ha. I kinda streached the truth. They are in my boot teads. I taped one in so it wouldn't fall out, then I walked in my boots all winter. I took about 2 months. Few weeks=50+ days ;D
