It doesn't fog up on you however it makes a lot of noise giving away your position.

Unless the gas mask lenses are ANSI 87.3 1989 rated, you won't be able to use the gasmask in any game using MiA rules. I say you'd be better off getting some paintball or tactical goggles that offer a full seal around your eyes. Most paintball masks will allow you to seperate the lower mask portion from the goggles, if you choose to play with goggles only.

Could i add screen wire like how the sensai air soft masks are? Would that prevent damage?

I think most military gas masks have lenses capable of more then paintball masks or at least thats what I have been told. If you want to test them out get the fastest shooting gun at the game and shoot the lenses from about a foot away. Screen wire might prevent damage but it won't get you into any MIA games.
