(Now Richard (SickPointe) can have a real reason for hating me.)
And the winner for the "guess what Newman bought" challenge is.....................................
WARMONGER! You will receive a complimentary zip tie OR!!! piece of duct tape at the next MiA event we both attend! WOW!
I bring you...SEAL TP1E Body Armor.
Mini-review: I bought it from www.airsoftextreme.com for $75 and it came in a week ( bleh). It is made of "high-speed nylon"...Layman's Terms...good quality stuff. It is my favorite piece of gear bar-none, and is extremely comfortable. I've worn it for two FLAG games already and am extremely pleased with its performance.
Looks: Some have said I have the coolest piece of gear in FLAG, I dunno, I just love how it looks. It is exactly what I needed to feel like I'm actually reenacting/pretending to be a soldier.
Feel: Quality stitching, very good quality. Nothing is frayed, not even one loose piece of thread. It was not made for a 140 pound 6 foot-something 15 year old, but it definitely doesn't matter because of the huge velcro panels that could be adjusted for virtually anybody (who isn't 4 feet tall..hehe). In games, I can run around, go on the ground, crouch, etc. and not even notice that I have it on. It's great.
Sound: No rustling, crackling, anything. Bbs hit the thing and it makes a satisfying "snap!" sound, which is definite plus because people were scared I wasn't going to be able to feel the bbs (I can't feel them at all but the sound makes up for it, definitely, the other guys agree).
Usability: The only thing that you really want to use with this body armor is the ALICE load bearing equipment. I'll try on a tactical vest sometime with this thing, but I really wouldn't recommend it because this thing is bulky. I've always preferred ALICE LBE to tactical vests (Blackhawk and USGI LBV), so this was not a weird change for me.
Other Notes: Like I said, if you're a skinny lad like me, it won't fit perfectly. It's just a tad too big.
Thanks for reading! ;D
EDIT: Pssst! VITALIS! I bought some new rip-stop pants; they match my rip-stop camo jacket now! Not to mention some nifty new $80 Magnum boots.
