I have two spring pistols and I decided to reoil them since I hadn't since I bought them. I was smart and by-passed WD40 and found a can of 'heavy duty silicone oil' the only thing that stuck out to me what a little over splash turned a milky white on the side of the gun and didn't really come off that easy. and after firing a few times it souded no different that before. Did it harm my guns?

Heavy Duty Silicone Oil has a warning label on the back. And it normally reads something like "bad effects on rubber and paint". Or something along the lines of that. If it doesn't say 100% silicone, then it's not good for your gun. Time to clean it out and wipe it down completely before it eats away at your hopup.
