I'm looking for a snipers rifle to add to my collection of airsofts.
I've always been one to buy higher quality airsofts but I'm primarily an AEG man. I really don't think I will use a snipers rifle enough to warrant spending top dollar.
I was originally looking at the VSR-10 G-Spec but again, I'm not too sure I want to spend $300 dollars + upgrades.
I was digging around Airsoft Atlanta’s page and found something called the HFC USR-11. They list this as a clone of the VSR-10 and also state that this gun will use the VSR-10's upgrades.
Does anyone own one? Anyone ever seen one? Would this gun even be worth buying and upgrading or would it be a waste of time and money?

Now, I'm not sure about this rifle, but HFC products usually suck. If your going to put your money into a sniper rifle, get the VSR.

The USR-11 is new, came out within the last month I believe. I don't know if anyone on MiA has it yet. I would just stick witih the TM VSR, good gun from what I hear. Plus, there are many people on MiA that can help you with upgrading it if you need help.

The new sniper rifle from UTG is suppossed to be upgradable with parts from the TM VSR-10 . I think the price for the UTG rifle is like 125$ 400 FPS

Where do you find UTG products? I keep hearing mention of them on this forum but I've never seen them for sale anywhere.
Yeah I'm thinking about going with the VSR-10 or something from CA or someone. Don't know yet.
I just hate to drop $300~400 dollars on something I will hardly use but I really want a snipers rifle.

The vsr-10g spec is 99.99 at airsplat.com! as for the UTG sniper rifle shotryusa.com check it out go to the specials page then look on page 2. It says its was tested 325 fps with KSC .2g and will probably be below $100, im guessing around 89.99 or below because I saw another site that had it for $89.99 but i forgot the name of it.

Heheh, If its VSR-10 G Spec, it's not $99.99 at airsplat.com Thats like a $300 dollar rifle. Must be a knock off or misprint.

Well I found the VSR-10 for $240 at Airsoft Atlanta but I was wondering what it would cost to upgrade it to around 475-500fps besides the spring.

Thanks GéßtäpÖ762 Also what is the barrel length for a tight bore and I've been looking around and is Laylax the company to go with for upgrade parts?

Pretty much. All the upgrades are amaizingly easy, except the sears are kind of a pain in the butt to figure out, but once you do, its pretty easy, but there are a couple of little springs and pins you have to watch out for. If they do fall out though, they are easy to put back in. Not sure of the barrel lenght, and I dont think it takes a standard AEG barrel, but I could be wrong.

Well Airsoft Atlanta has two tight obres made for the VSR-10 one is 430mm and the other is 555mm acording to there site. Is there anything other than what you listed that would be nessicary for the tight bore upgrade.

If you were to get the 555mm, you would need to buy one of the longer outer barrel conversions. Those are the only parts that you really need to upgrade, you might want to look at a new hopup bucking if your going to be upgrading it for 500~
