Im looking at WGC.. i see thiscylinder upgrade. THeres the level 1, which is gas (i assume stronger and louder too), level 2 is "Classic Army Advanced Cylinder Air Spring Kit for M24 Includes steel cylinder with head, vaccum piston, spring guide & APS300 % spring " and level 3 which is "Classic Army M24 Advanced Cylinder Upgrade Spare Parts for M24, made of steel. "
ive done quite a bit of reserach on this gun, but that stuff still means little to me. how much louder/heavier trigger pull/fps would it be compared to the level 2 300% spring (i hear the gas cylinder is like 450 fps.) same question for those other 2 cylinders. what does a vaccum piston and spring guide do?
What else can you upgrade (tightborebarrel? silencer?)? i know the obvious ones, scope/bipod.
edit: after reading through Mikecatts post about the aps it seems the bolt pull would be quite hard. How strong is mikecatt anyway?.. i have a feeling i might not even be able to move a 300% spring

Bolt is definitely cheaper and shoots as high as 510 (I think). However, there are often times leaking issues with the CA bolts. These can be quite easily fixed with epoxy. Also, if you plan on playing in winter, the gas bolt won't work. You would need some kind of heating element in there that would have to be custom made. The consistency would hurt I'm sure.

Actually, those toe warmers you can buy would fit right inside the dummy mag well on the M24 if you're worried about cold weather.

Hey, my pleasure, Grunt. ;D
Also, an FPS magazine had an entire article on how to keep the CA gas bolts from leaking, but I don't know where you could get a scan of it or anything. You basically just take it apart, replace the o-rings and put teflon tape on everything, however.

im looking and looking and i cant find any "m24 springs", but i see a lot of APS2 springs. Also systema springs, but those dont tell me FPS..
im looking to go just under 550 FPS with something like a 300% spring (supposedly 500 fps)
upon further research it seems they do take the aps spring
