I have heard great things about both of these guns, but I was just wondering which of the two was the best as far as range, accuracy, speed, and durability was concerned.

And icecream man is once again talking out of his ass.
The UHC mp5 sd3 is reported as the best spring rifle available, and yes, that means better than TM's spring rifles.
That 328 fps number is probably tested with .12's, but it's still geed for a springer.

Meh, your right. Last night was kinda of a blur and i dont know why i said that. But for the most part i will give you what i know and thats not much.
I have owned 3 SD3s -the 328 fps is with the .12 bbs i believe but all new versions of the gun have a .2 hop up. Dont use the UHC .2 bbs cause they are shit.
- The magazines suck, what i mean by that is that you cant really keep spares because they are is no stopping mechanism and all the bbs fly out.
I have never seen a TM Xm177 but i have heard from WTS mike that they are good. Maybe he will back me up.
But i have used a HFC XM177 Which is cheaper then the TM. The XM has great outdoor accuracy. the magazines are kinda hard to get the spring inside to catch but you live with it. The only real problem is that the telescoping stock is kinda freaky that it just comes all the way off and dosent like to stop anywhere in the middle. Just REally close or all the way out.

The marui gun is nice, it has a cool little drop down handle that is concealed in the forgrip so you can rapid "pump action" the gun for skirmishing (as opposed to reaching back and pulling the "T" Charging handle. just be careful your not shouldering the gun when you do that, because the T handle still moves back too and WILL pop you in the cheek/nose. (BTDT)
BUT it is still a springer and for $125, would save up a little more and get a PDW or other entry style AEG.
IF you can't wait go with the MP5SD3, it is a great gun, with good longevity and range (328fps with .12's on our chrono) every one that we have sold is still going strong as far as I know. Pus it has a metal retractable stock and a removable fake silencer (which is actually a barrel extension adding range and accuracy. ;D

I have an SD3 and and I had a few problems with it, but nothing serious. It shoots really hard for a springer, my friend said that it shoots just as hard as his GBB pistol. It is also a hell of a lot cheaper than the TM XM-177. The XM is really hard to find. I'd get the SD3.

I dunno about the SD3 cuz 2 of my friends have bought it and both broke. The first friends got a bb jammed and stopped wokrin after that. And Erics doesnt pick up bbs form the mag and jams every once and a while. So I dunno form experience when they got it i played and it shot nice but for durability i dunno what to tell ya, could have been 2 bad eggs or that we were all newbies bakc then startin with our springers(Not that im an expert believ me im far from one but ya know) The Kid

Actually go with the HFC XM177. I owned one of those, and aobut 5 of the SD3's. sold most of them. You see the SD3 is best when used with .2's however after a while you get more and more jams and the hop up seal blows out. Plus the cocking bolt is kind of weak so after cocking many times they tend to break. Overall I think the HFC is more durable and definatly delivers a better shot. With the M16 cocking style bolt you loose cocking rate a little but is more durable and the shots and sound of the gun are better. Plus as stated above carrying the SD3 mags I found was only possible when putting tape on the tip and removing it when loading as you hold the spring back. Get an HFC XM177 for price but like mike said best bet is to buy an AEG when we are talking not far off figures.
