I'm building my G36kv into an MG36 lmg. I have everything needed but how far the barrel sticks out past the end of the hand guard. I know that the MG barrel is 18.9 inches long, but since these are airsoft guns, the barrel won't be the same so where does one start his measurements? Also, this isn't a Jg or E1 so my barrel is different. Would just be easier to find out how far the barrel exceeds the hand guard.I Googled and Googled but found nothing useful. Hoping a fellow MG36 user can help me. Thank you. As for the drum may not being a Beta.. does it HAVE to be a beta mag? There are G36 drum mags like this on the market, like Evike. This I had from another rifle, and made it work for my 36. I'm content for now, and I'm afraid to get a beta mag, cause so many people have feeding issues.

From the wiki article here: Length G36, G36V, MG36, MG36E: 999 mm (39.3 in) stock extracted / 758 mm (29.8 in) stock folded. So measure from stock to end of barrel with what you currently have and then subtract that total from 999mm/39.3in to find out how much longer your barrel needs to be. May be over simplified but should get you pretty close to the ballpark.

Having done the MG36 conversion myself, the only other thing yours is missing aside from the Beta C mag which you already touched upon is the dual optic carry handle.

I love it!!! Looks like mine, just with a dual optic. I dont see me to do the dual optic though, cause I dont like red dots. I have tried sooooo many, and have not found one I like yet.

My dual optic carry handle was an ARES and I paid $100 bucks for it shipped from HK. The relief sucked and probably wasn't worth paying a Benjamin for but I bought it because I wanted a MG36 that was going to be as close and accurate as the original so I could use it at games. I would definitely build one again, but the only difference is that I would drop a P* FE or SMP in it now that there is a V3 Fusion Engine/SMP and I would also use the flat rail and put a different optic on it and do-away with the carry handle optic.

I didnt think I would like the carry handle, but turns out I really really do. Took off the rail above the scope so I could use the iron sights that I didnt notice was even there till my son said... Hey, are those iron sights? hahaha! I ordered a T1 for it, but a few days later I was informed it was out of stock, so I canceled my order.
I almost ordered the actual G36 red dot like yours but damn, thats a lot of money for a red dot I more than likely wont even like. I have issues with dot sights, since I am ambi, I zero them in for right hand shooting, and when I switch to left handed, the dot sights arent zeroed for lefty.. So that pisses me off, and I end up selling the dot sight, then for some reason I try another, and then another and so on.. ALWAYS the same issue.
