I have a question for the techs out there pertaining to sorbo pads, Has anyone found an alternative or a place I could buy bulk for cheap? Now that im teching people are asking for sorbo to be put in there guns but its basically 5 dollars extra, if there were an alternative material I could use that has the same effects or a place to buy bulk sheets for cheap that'd be great!

Well, a LOT of materials CAN be used. It really depends on what you are looking for, for example if you are trying to make your replica as quiet as possible, go for the $5. However, if you are trying to just correct AoE, you may want to try something along the lines of a mousepad.

I've always used rubber washers to correct AOE. I got a 40 pack for about $7. They're the perfect size, although they're harder than Sorbo by a good amount.

If you research it, I'm sure you can find a place to buy sheets of sorbothane in different densities and thicknesses.
But for AOE alternatives;, faucet washers, rubber washers, neoprene washers, custom cut rubber, or even experiment. Try using a little longer screw and have a plastic washer secured behind the piston head. You'll gain more volume, be able to use a thinner sorbo or similar material, and help to correct the AoE.
