What does it mean when bbs roll out your barrel when hop up isn't engaged? But the gun fires fine when hop up is cranked up a bit. I just put a maple leaf bucking in my ProWin and I'm having this problem. Is it an air seal problem?

Take it apart and maybe link pictures. It's difficult to tell what the issue could be.

The first part sounds like air seal but I have no idea how turning on the hop would fix that.

It sounds to me like your bucking/nub is bad.
How often do you lube? your bucking could be taking on moisture and is swollen.
Is your compression fine when you fire the gearbox? (Fire the lower into your hand and check the air burst.)
Is your hop up unit seated firmly against the gearbox?
Do you have a delayer chip on your sector gear? You could be double feeding etc.
^^ All the possibilities that come to mind.
