I spoke to 5 different people who had p*'s, and each one of them denied having anything to do with the BB hose, even though there were at least two people who were 50+ RPSing it.
The solution is simple, you can change the RPS through the FCU, and we should do just that. Set the RPS limit at 20, and write down the PSI and nozzle of each p* player after chrono.
I'll be running a p* next game, and it's going to be super aggravating if there's a witch hunt on p* players. The solution is simple, write down nozzle/psi/RPS @ chrono, and check players after chrono if there are complaints.

Ok is there really a 1.55 joule limit on every outdoor game. Bc I put a lot of money into this set up. And I don't abuse the p* power like I said in my defence I enjoy sitting back and sniping. 1.55 joules is 400 fps that's not enough power for a sniper

Rasputin, Firstly, please clear up your posting. We require that all posters use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. Thanks! Secondly, the MiA FPS guidelines are located here. Rules for Michigan Airsoft Players (Part 2 of 2) OUTDOOR/OPEN FIELD ENGAGEMENT LIMITS [/ul] INDOOR/CLOSE QUARTER BATTLE (CQB)/ENCLOSED FIELD ENGAGEMENT LIMITS Engagement limits are based on averaged fps readings using .20 gram weight bb’s only. The method for acquiring an airsoft replica’s average fps is to fire multiple (more than 2) shots through a chronograph, record the readings, add the fps readings together and divide by the total number of readings. Gas operated airsoft replicas should be chronographed using a “warm” ambient temperature gas supply (i.e. magazine), or with heating device functioning if used during the cold season. No allowance is made for airsoft replicas that have an average reading close to the lower end of the next highest fps category. Example- if the replica has an average reading of 351.5 fps it falls within the 20 foot engagement limit. Again, these rules include a 10fps "tolerance zone". Players will be allowed onto the field if their weapons shoot up to 10.0 fps over the published limit.
These are the guidelines layed out by the MiA forum. We encourage event hosts to use these limitations as they've been shown to be safe over a period of many years. That said, event hosts can (and do) develop their own safety regulations and it is best to check with event hosts regarding the specifics. Some may set certain standards for P* rifles and others may not. Both RAGE and Suicide Kings have a specific methodology for chronoing P* and other HPA rifles.

I know of at least 10 players that can hit targets at 275-300 ft using that power range.

Please explain how? I have all the parts but I can't achieve that. It's all about proper tuning. If you have good airseal, an R or ER hop, a polished or lapped barrel, and decently heavy ammo, it's simple. You just need to take the time to properly set everything up and tune perfectly. It sucks to do, but the results make it worth it. On topic: I wasn't there... I wish I'd been. I'll make it out to at least one of these rec games this summer.

Rasputin, I was about to run the photo among the mods and see, perhaps you chronoed out with a mod that wasn't tracking on the 1.55 joule limit, so that will be fixed in house. I was under the impression that you were the one running the 55rps bb hose and was also shooting very hot, somewhat bit of relief there that it wasn't the case. No, that was two different people. If Rasputin is the guy I was previously talking about, he was using semi only. In my video, all he said was, "You cannot tell me that a 0.3 going 470 FPS will not go through a bush." AT&T has said that they won't get a tech out to my house until Friday, so no videos until then. EDIT: Rasputin, it is entirely possible to have excellent range with sub-450 FPS.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same people here. Rasputin, did you have a buddy running a P* with you in the afternoon?

I'm pretty sure you guys are talking about different people. Rasputin did everything correct that we saw. He changed his weapon at lunch and sought out a RAGE member to be rechronoed. He was shooting 545, which is under the legal limit and his weapon was permanent semi, which I personally verified. Finally, as mentioned, we had one of the RAGE guys by him and he passed up on guaranteed 'kills' when people were in his minimum engagement limit. RAGE will be purchasing some field chronoes for the mods to spot check players, so we have a better chance of catching those that are far less honest.
Also, with most future RAGE events being semi only for non belt fed weapons, that will take care of most of the bb hose issues.
That being said, thanks to everyone that showed up to play. We had a good time hosting here without snow on the ground and are glad that most people feel that they got their money's worth. We learned more about the field this weekend and will apply that to Maelstrom next month.

I know you guys can't tell me that for sure until I present the video, but that won't be until Friday so until then we're going off of speculation.

Thank you Mirage for clearing up the problem with my DMR. I am attending the next team rage event. Is they're any one I can directly contact about my fps limit. I am a responsible player. So why should my 1200 dollar gun be limited to an fps that's lower then any field requirements. I'm sorry but since the time of man, the man with the biggest and fast gun wins the fight. BUT IM AM NOT EXCUSING THE 55 RPS P*.
And viper yes I did have a p* buddy with me for close quarters engagement and I have warned him to tune it down or your off my team. I apologize to anyone that was there for his actions. Me and my teammates DONT play like that. After i saw the hose job he was doing i made him go to burst firing.

BUT IM AM NOT EXCUSING THE 55 RPS P*. Because your $1200 doesn't need to shoot 500fps to be effective. As myself and several others have said, it is more than possible to achieve accuracy and range under 410fps ( I'm using this range, as it still allows for full auto use and covers the broadest range of replicas) I'm amazed that people still believe the fps = range/accuracy. Power is only a small part of the equation. There are a ton of members on this forum that have seen my Star FNC out shoot almost anything else out on the field. It's bone stock with the exception of a madbull 6.03 and a prowin hopup. I have confirmed kills at 250 ft+. Want to know what it chronos at? 289 fps with .25s. The way I look at it, be a stand up, model citizen for the polarstar community. I'd rather be the guy they say is a good example of how a player should run a polarstar. I'm not pushing the limit to see who I can hurt, I'm using my replica safely and responsibly.

That's not the case at all, and that attitude will get you booted out of events faster than anything else. And/Or leave you with zero friends in this community.
