Hello all, I am considering buying a SR-25 or M-14 so I was wondering; how much would someone charge me to build a DMR ready gearbox? Looking for semi-auto only and ~480-500fps. This wouldn't be until after winter but I am trying to get an idea of what I will be looking at price-wise. Thank you all.
It will totally depend who does it, how you want it to perform, and what stock gun you are using. As far as parts go you could easily do it for under $100. Labor is what will cost you. All you really need is a motor that will pull the spring, gears and a piston that can take that kind of load (possibly stock) and protection for the gearbox shell (sorbo and radiusing). Anything other than that isn't really needed from a reliability standpoint.
