I tore apart my CA m4 version 2 gear box, it was seized and needed to be greased/timing reset. When putting the shell back together, I am having problems aligning the gear pins back into the bearing, does anyone have any tricks?

I just take something thin (and something without a rounded tip) and stick it through the bearings and move the gear pins around, while pushing down on the shell, until the shell drops into place. Make sense?

Make sure your anti-reversal latch is sitting properly, then do the above suggestion.

Usually so long as you get the ARL (Anti-Reversal Latch) aligned properly the shell will close easily. It does depend on brand though as some close and force the ARL to align, and others you have to align it as you are closing it with a small screwdriver or something of the sort.

I've found that you need to pay attention to the trigger too. Also, you may need to push on the air nozzle depending on the position of the gears (as in rotation).
