You need to be more specific. Are you looking to buy one? Have you already looked into it by doing a simple search on google? You have to show that you have made an attempt to find this for yourself. MIA is happy to help those who try to help themselves first. Also if you are unsure about making a posting, please feel free to PM one of the mods in that section before making the post.

If I understand what you are asking, you want to put a new rail on your stock M16. If that is the case, I would recommend a Madbull Rail. Madbull (correct me if I'm wrong) has licensing agreements with Daniel Defense, Troy, and Novaske, all of which are extremly good real steel manufacturers. Just pick whatever one you think looks coolest, and fits your budget. It should also be at least 12" long. Here is a good start: www.airsoftgi.com/index.php?cPath=745_30_37&sort=2a&filter_id=25

Your post did not hint at any previous research. The better way would have been if you opened with "I did some research and I wanted to see your thoughts on "product A" vs. "product B"".

....Good and cheap rarely go hand in hand. If you want quality, you're going to have to fork out the cash. As for rails, I prefer Daniel Defense.

It also depends on what you're looking for in the rail. Are you trying to replicate a particular unit or time-period? If so, you'll need to know which rails were in use at the time. For the M16, one of the most heavily used rail systems was the Knights Armament Company (KAC) M5 RAS (see here). There are a ton of M5 replicas out there ranging in price from $50 for the ACM-built models to $100 for the G&P, CA, etc models. You can probably find the real KAC version on Ebay for slightly more than $100. As others have mentioned, Madbull clones a ton of different rail systems from several different companies. Figure out what length of rail system you need (16"?) and get on their website and look around. If cheap (<$50) is what you're looking for, then you're probably going to be stuck with an ACM rail or maybe one of the Olympic Arms clones from JBU.

"Good", "cheap" and "best" are all indefinite and preferential. This is a forum, not sparknotes or yahoo answers. Prove you've done your homework first.
I prefer Madbull rails. They have a ton of options, and if you buy from the right places with coupon codes, you can get a new Madbull rail for $90 shipped or less.
