I'm considering upgrading from NiMh to LiPo for my CA M4 UAC. I'm looking at either 7.4v or 11.1v LiPo, so what is a good MOSFET for one of these?

You don't really need a MOSFET for 7.4V. I've used extreme fire computerized MOSFETs and they've worked good. Their basic MOSFET is overpriced though. A MOSFET really shouldn't be more than $15 + shipping.

Jonezy on Airsoft Ohio makes a good MOSFET from what I hear, and it's $18 shipped. You will need a bit of soldering skills though. Although I'm not certain, I think he might have an account on this forum as well. www.airsoftohio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43729

That MOSFET looks good. I'll probably buy one of those next time I need a basic MOSFET.

The best drop in MOSFET is going to be the Black Talon. This will replace your trigger box and comes with all the wiring needed to hook it up. For your M4 this would be the best way to go. It also comes with all the goodies of a programmable controller, Pre cocking, burst fire, battery management, etc. If you have a bit more experience the best one on the market is the Extreme fire Cheetah MOSFET.
