I've been offered some goggles: Wiley X goggles to be specific. Are they good goggles? And what is the most you would pay for them? They are brand new in box, have the tinted and clear lenses along with the straps to make them full seal. Google has more or less proved worthless in this appraisal. Thanks

Which specific model? I have Wiley-X eye-pro that look like a pair of sunglasses. They are airsoft legal since they have foam inserts that make them full seal and the lenses are ANSI rated. All that aside, they are terrible for airsoft since they do not breath at all. If your eye-pro doesn't breath, they fog very quickly. If you're looking at actual goggles, your results will certainly be different.
What I have does have a use, but it's use is related to motorcycles where there is a lot more wind.

Wiley X SG1's. I agree they don't really have ventilation but I personally haven't ever had them fog on me.
FYI: these are what my unit received prior to deployment.

I have a pair of Wiley X Spear goggles. They are well worth the $70 I paid for them.

DeathDealer has the SG1s they fog like crazy. I have the XL-1s and they have the same issue. Also I have had event hosts not let me use them even with the foam and elastic band. I think that was out of ignorance, but I will personally not buy another pair. They make decent shooting glasses if you use foamies instead of over ear protection. With the over ear style the glasses put too much pressure on my head and break the seal of the ear muffs.

I have used XL-1's in the past with the foam insert and elastic band and they have fogged like a bitch. However, I would imagine that their actual goggles, like the Spear or the Nerve, wouldn't be too bad.

Have you used them in Michigan? with the foam insert? I'm just wondering if they didn't fog because of the dry air in the Middle East. Sent from my XT1080 using proboards

Yes I have. I also wear a pair with the foam everyday while I work outside. I guess it must just depend on the individual.

I guess so. If someone never has issues with fogging then the sealed glasses style might work. I would attempt to try a pair first before dropping any significant cash on them.

SG-1's are what I ran with for about 2 years in an airsoft role. I incurred some minor fogging, but nothing a little Cat Crap couldn't take care of. I also know you can usually snag a deal around the web on pairs for $40-50.
