I'm having a dilemma here and I know someone will know how to fix this for me. I'm purchasing a CYMA 032a as a base platform for a new project of mine. I want to replace the inner barrel with something in the low 500mm area to aid in proper compression and consistancy and would want to put a mock suppressor at the muzzle to cover the extended barrel. I've found out that the 032a doesn't have any threads at the end and that leads me to this question: How would I go about attaching a mock suppressor that will be sturdy enough to take some abuse and cover my barrel's end? I don't care about weight so I may just make my own out of steel tubing. I do, however; want it to be removable. Could I get the end threaded somehow? Is there an adapter that I can replace the front end with the grub screw that has threads? Could I make a sleeve to go over the end that is attached with a screw through the grub screw hole?
I would appreciate some advice from the airsoft gurus of Michigan. Thanks

If your barrel is a 14 mm barrel, I do have a ccw thread die that you could use. They also sell them on eBay for 20 bucks and they usually arrive in 2 weeks. It's real ease to do once you apply your cutting oil to the die.

Really? It's the end of the CYMA 032a. Would it work in that?

Sorry for not getting back to you until now. I just looked at that rifle online. It's the soc16 series. I know that flash hider that comes stock is a bitch to get off because I think they glue it on, but once it's off, if you can, remove the front site post and use a die to cut your threads. It should fit no problem, then re install your front site, and screw on your suppressor to down to the site. It "should" work fine. I say should, because things can and usually do "happen".

I've actually found that the guy selling me the rifle was wrong and it is th 032 full length version. I won't need to get an extended barrel and, for the record; my CYMA 032 with the plastic wood stock has CCW threads. But thanks for the input. I was actually looking to buy a piece to thread the barrel. It would have been the best option.
