I am planning to go to one of the huge multi day games like Op Northern Light next year in the spring and or summer when I am out of school. Even though it's far far away, I would like to get build up my gear so when it comes time to go, I will not be missing something from my kit. Here are some questions I have hopefully that can be answered.
1. I have watched a few movies on Youtube of people clearing out buildings, most of the time, they use pistols. Can I use a Scorpion if I kept it on semi while fighting inside of buildings? Or does it have to be a pistol?
2. Guessing this is a yes but just double checking. Is the FPS limit the same with MiA?
3. Do you know if I can get a discount if I use a military vehicle or if they will even use one in the game for transport? Any special rules? It's a UAZ-469. Getting it in the spring.
4. Is there any techs out there? I am planning to bring a few weapons but you never know what my gun issue will be when the day comes.
5. If I am going by myself, without a team (like Hellfish for example), will I be put in a squad or just tag along like the MiA games?
6. Can I use high caps or am I stuck with low or mid caps? I am fine with using mids.
7. Do I need to bring my own food or can I buy some at the game?
8. Anything else I should know?

Pistols are useful for clearing buildings because they are small. At Northern Light, AEGs were allowed inside regardless of FPS, but only semi-automatic mode was allowed (iirc). No fully-automatic indoors. Your skorpion would be fine for indoor play.
What is or is not allowed inside is entirely dependent on what the event hosts' rules are. The Lion Claws events typically have relatively set rules from game to game, but it's not out of the ordinary for things to get tweaked or adjusted depending on where the event is being held.
FPS Limits are a bit different. You'll want to read whatever documentation is on the Lion Claws Event Page to get a description of the FPS regulations.
At Northern Light there were plenty of people who could tech guns. Yankee teched Gabe's gun and Gabe bought the extra parts he needed from an on-site vendor. In general, however, there aren't gun techs on-site who are just sitting around waiting for people to bring them guns to fix. Your best bet would be to check these forums to find someone else who is going who might be able to do some tech work on your rifles. Common courtesy would suggest that you would pay that person.
There are vendors who you could buy a replacement gun from. Most people at Northern Light brought back-up rifles in case their primary rifle went down.
In general, I'd suggest you make sure your rifles are working before you come to the event. There is a lot of stuff going on and people tend to need a lot of time to prepare their gear, set-up camp, eat, etc. In other words, people are busy. It might be difficult finding someone, especially someone you don't know, who has time to work your rifle. Your best bet is to bring a back-up and if your primary goes down just head back to your car or camp, grab your back-up and head back to the field. It'll take less time and cause less aggravation than trying to hunt someone down to fix something.
You'll be placed into a platoon sized squad by the event host.
High-caps are frowned on. Plan to use mid-caps.
This really depends on what vendors are on site. At Northern Light a group of us camped Friday and Saturday night and we brought our own food and cooking supplies. We made our own food. Other people went out to local fast-food places or ordered pizzas.
It all depends on where the game is being held, whether or not you can easily come and go from the facility (remember, some facilities are located on military bases) and what the site is located near. If the site is in the middle of nowhere it might be prudent to bring your own food since there might not be anywhere nearby to eat at.

8. Make sure you have a hydration bladder and lots of water. That was probably more important than a gun at NL this year. Although it looks like next year it's in May, so it shouldn't be 107° outside.
I'm pretty sure high caps are outright not allowed.

8. Make sure you have a hydration bladder and lots of water. Will there most likely be a place to refill hydration bladders? Or would we be expected to bring water bottles to refill?

There was no running water at NL. I brought a case of water and ended up going through two full 2L bladders in the first day. You'll want to bring your own just to be sure. Either jugs or 16 ounce bottles are a good way to do it. That way, you have the option of keeping them cold in a cooler, too.
