Well today I went to a friends house and helped him work on a few guns.
I put a JG Sig 552 together. After I traded it for my vest. Now when I got home I still needed to put on the pistol grip and hook up the motor.
My problem now is The part that hooks up the gear box to the motor/ pistol grip, has two screws and both holes were stripped. I put in new threads in the two holes and, the screws did not fit as well. So I put the parts all together, put some JB weld in the two holes, and then put in the screws. After that I added more JB to the grip and the body.
I now have it in the garage and it is being held with a rubber band. and will check it tomorrow.
I am just wondering if I just F'ed my self or if the fix sounds ok.?
Now I also put in a gearbox in my friend's E1 E90 and if the Sig does not work ill just buy it from him as a backup plan.

Next time, asking before you do something would be smart . I would've used something less, uh, well, permanent. I would try plumbers/Teflon tape instead, but too late now. Hopefully your "fix" works out for you .

Well I only put on the jb about a 45min ago. My friend has more parts at his house so if I messed up I can just about restart. And he has a E90 that I can use too.
EDIT: I only put a little bit of the JB on the grip and the two holes, I should be able to take it off with a little knife if I need to.

Well this morning I woke up and the JBW was not dry, so I took the JBW off. I went out and found some plumbers tape and put it on. I am going to have it taped and a I will try it later. Thank you for the heads up; njn551. I hope what you suggested works.
