Hey there, I'm about to get into airsoft and have a couple questions. First off, I want to go to CQB/Indoor games. And the rifle I'm buying says its a CQB rifle, but the FPS is over 350. Which is the regular FPS for most CQB/Indoor games here in MI. But when ever it chrono's, it comes out to be like 360 or 370.... how do I bring down the FPS of the Gun so I can play. Thank you, Hazard

You need to swap out the spring for a lower powered spring. Something like an M100 or PDI 130% spring will put you south of 350 FPS.

I actually bought an M90 spring, but I didn't end up needing it. Brand new in box. I'll sell it to you if you want it.
Your other option is to do a short stroke modification (google airsoft short stroke mod) or shorten the spring, by clipping the end of it. Personally I would do the short stroke mod before clipping the spring.

I second the idea of the short-stroke mod. If you're good with your hands most mechboxes aren't that hard to open up and put back together, and the short-stroke mod doesn't require any permanent damage or modification. Before you try the mod, though, make sure you familiarise yourself with a V2 gearbox. Try mechbox.com for that. Best of luck!

... and the short-stroke mod doesn't require any permanent damage or modification. Uhh come again? You permanently remove a tooth or multiple teeth from the piston or sector gear. Here's a little animation someone cooked up. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4K15hhCx1zw
