Not sure if this should go in this section or the "accessories" section, but anyways, here's what I found.
Several of my patches have been ruined because of the thread getting snagged on something and pulling it out. And, as many of you know, patches aren't cheap. So, I had an idea. I bought a cheap bottle of clear nail polish for about $5 at my local supermarket, and proceeded to drop it and break it. Fortunately, the store claimed it was their fault that the bag had a hole in it, and gave me another two bottles free of charge. Getting on with the actual tutorial, it's actually pretty simple to do this to your patches. I find that the edges are what are getting frayed the most, so I put two coats on the edge, and, thinking ahead, put a coat on the face. So far, they are much more durable, and don't look any different. Only downside is that they don't smell the greatest
