So, I disassembled my KJW M9's magazine, to clean it. In order to disassemble, two pins must be removed from the bottom of the magazine, to remove the heel plate. So, after cleaning, and placing the plate back in, I can get the pins through one side of the magazine, but not the other. This makes the magazine leak all of the gas out as soon as its loaded, rendering it useless. Can you please give me some tips on how to get the plate level and the pins all the way through, so I didn't destroy a magazine?

UPDATE: Okay, so I got the pins in, and the magazine is together, however after doing a full charge of gas, it has a slow leak through the bottom of the magazine, and I can only pull off around 5 shots before the magazine runs empty.

Lube and O-rings. Apply the principles in this guide to your KJW mag and you should be able to fix up that leak. If something is physically damaged (cracked metal, chips missing, that sort of thing), then you're basically SOL. You could try buying other mags for the gun that are broken in different ways, and combining the parts. But short of that, you would need new mags. If your seals are just dry and failing, then lubricate liberally.

Thanks, I tried what the link said and that appeared to fix the leak, however, it still only made around 7 shots. Switching to a new can of propane seems to have fixed the problem entirely, thanks again.

Yes, being out of propellant will often cause a drastic decrease in your gun's ability to propel bbs. Lesson learned, eh?

Hehe, yeah... I'm fairly new to GBB's, even though I've worked on quite a few, I've only owned them since November of 2011, so I was still running off the first can of propane. Alright, I don't know exactly how to describe it, but now it seems that when the gun's slide cycles, it's really grinding on something. It literally just started happening when I fixed the magazine, so I don't know if that has something to do with it or not. When I have the magazine removed, and pull the slide back, if I do it slowly, it'll stick right in the "open" position, even though the slide catch isn't engaged, it's just held there by some new force of friction. I had a similar problem with a KJW G23 I used to own, but that was after giving a sandblasting to the slide (bad idea), the only modification I've done to this pistol is adding white dots to the sights...

I've had that issue before, but I solved it by cleaning the slide rails and the recoil spring assembly. Sometimes dirt gets in there and gums things up.

Yeah, I just did that, it's still really sticky, with the slide forward, and back...
