The way this pistol is behaving has driven me to wits end, so I seek the knowledge of the collective.
To start off, I am running a KJW KP07 single stack 1911. It was preforming flawlessly for a while until now. I think the problem starts with the CO2 magazines that I have been using since my green gas mag went belly up.
The CO2 mag is not leaking, I have checked the seals. However, when a round is fired, the slide appears to reciprocate at half power (like you would see at the end of a gas charge). This leaves the hammer cocked and does not chamber a new round. What could be causing this? I am pretty sure it is the magazine since green gas was working fine before.
Any thoughts?

I would NOT use CO2 in those. I've got a KJW 1911 Double Stack, and the gun is overly-powerful by far when used with CO2. It actually kicks the slide back so far that it catches in place on the hammer! I wouldn't be surprised if the CO2 usage broke something inside of the gun. I would break it down and ensure the health of your components. If one of those pieces of plastic cracked that has the nozzle and cycles within the slide (can't remember what they are called) I figure you could be losing pressure and the slide won't cycle completely (that sounds like the problem?). Otherwise I have no clue, my 1911 hasn't ever given me trouble. I would just be wary of using the CO2 mags!

I took your advice Overkill, and checked the nozzle area. What I found was that the piston head appeared to be loose, possibly dislodged by the CO. The problem looks like it is solved! Thanks for the help.
