I am in the market for a optic. I am stuck between 2 different styles, a Holo type sight or a Tube style sight. I have not used any sights so far so I am just wondering which ones are better in your opinion. I have a M4 if that makes a difference, and am playing CQB as of lately but will play outside when games are scheduled. Any additional information about these sights is appreciated.
Thanks.

Optics are really all based on personal preference. I personally prefer holographic sights, like EoTechs and the sort. I use these only because I like to be able to have both eyes open when aiming on a target and they provide a much better field of view than a scope in my opinion. I take it that the "tube style" that you are talking about are scopes and short-dots and the such.
I've used both and just preferred the EoTech because you can see everything in the environment and you're not limited to the field of view a scope gives you. In CQB, a holographic sight would work perfectly so you're not limiting your field of view.

Assuming your budget only runs to replica sights, it's just a question of which type of reflex sight looks better to you. Under the shell, the technology is the same.
